Stacy Sykora is a two-time All-American, a three-time Olympian (2000, 2004 & 2008), and a Silver Medalist. She is most well known for her passionate and dynamic play as a Libero, which has won her many fans globally. Sykora was a trailblazer as the first to ever play the Libero position for the US Women’s Volleyball team, setting a high standard for those who followed. Her career didn’t start out as a Libero though. At Texas A&M she played three sports. She was an outside hitter on the women’s volleyball team earning All-American honors twice. She also played basketball for the Aggies. Her freshman year she ran track and field and was the Southwest Conference champion in the heptathlon. She was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.
