Our Governance Role
As the primary oversight body, the Board works in partnership with the Hall’s executive team to:
- Define strategic direction and safeguard the Hall’s mission of celebrating excellence, preserving heritage and inspiring future generations.
- Oversee stewardship of artifacts, exhibits and educational outreach so that Texas’s rich athletic history remains vibrant and meaningful.
- Maintain fiscal responsibility, support fundraising and help ensure the Hall remains a strong resource for all Texans.
Working Together
The breadth of expertise on this Board—from athletic administration to business, from media to community leadership—ensures that the Texas Sports Hall of Fame remains not only a repository of history, but a living, evolving institution. Their oversight helps us welcome visitors, support scholars, honor inductees, and build the digital and physical platforms that make Texas sports stories accessible.
