In the 1920’s, the legendary Knute Rockne said Tyson knew more football than any coach in the United States. In 1955, Coach Tyson was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. In 1963, he was inducted into the Texas High Schools Coaches Hall of Honor.
